BERTUMBUH UNTUK BERBUAH

Luk 6:43-45
43 "No GOOD tree bears BAD fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 Each tree is recognized by its own FRUIT. People do not pick figs from thornbushes, or grapes from briers. 45 A GOOD man brings GOOD things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.

Seringkali manusia terpesona pada "pohon",  bukan” buah”nya.  Bukan apa yang dikatakan seseorang yang penting,  tetapi apa yang ia LAKUKAN yang LEBIH penting....yang sekaligus membedakan “buah” seseorang dari yang  lainnya.

Seseorang bisa setiap hari main ke istana,  tapi tidak berarti ia adalah presiden. Seseorang bisa setiap minggu ke gereja, tapi TIDAK berarti ia pelaku kebenaran.

Kis 26:20
20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and then to the Gentiles, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and demonstrate their repentance BY their DEEDS.

Bertobat = metanoia = perubahan cara berpikir/ a change of mind
 
Jika cara berpikir seseorang SUDAH berubah, maka perbuatan2nya juga AKAN berubah. Pertobatan seseorang bisa dilihat dari perbuatan-perbuatannya.

Bertumbuh saja TIDAK cukup, karena tidak berpengaruh apa-apa bagi sekitar kita. Bertumbuh itu baik, tetapi tidak cukup. Berbuah itu jauh lebih baik lagi

Efesus 5:8-11
8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light  9 (for the FRUIT of the LIGHT consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them.

Memang untuk "berbuah", seseorang harus ber"tumbuh" dahulu. TAPI, bertumbuh saja tidak berguna, kalau ia tidak ber"buah".

Luk 13: 6-9
6 Then he told this parable: "A man had a fig tree growing in his vineyard, and he went to LOOK FOR FRUIT on it but did not find any. 7 So he said to the man who took care of the vineyard, 'For three years now I've been coming to look for fruit on this fig tree and haven't found any. Cut it down! Why should it use up the soil?'
8 "'Sir,' the man replied, 'leave it alone for one more year, and I'll dig around it and fertilize it. 9 If it bears fruit next year, fine! If not, then CUT it down.

Bertumbuh hanya untuk diri kita, tapi berbuah untuk orang lain..karena pohon dikenal dari buahnya. Buah seharusnya dinikmati oleh orang lain, bukan oleh pohon itu sendiri.

Keberadaan kita HARUS bisa dinikmati oleh org lain.

Kita menjadi mulai penting, pada saat kita mulai berbuah. Tanda2 seseorang sudah berbuah: Orang bisa merasa kehilangan kalau kita tidak ada.

Semakin banyak "buah" seseorang, semakin berat beban yang ia pikul. Akan tetapi,  justru

KARENA "beban" itulah:  pohon itu didatangi, dilindungi, disenangi, dipelihara, dan dicari orang-orang.

Keinginan Tuhan adalah supaya kita berBUAH dan bisa diNIKMATI orang banyak.

Yoh 15:5-8
5 "I am the VINE; you are the BRANCHES. If you REMAIN in me and I in you, you will BEAR much fruit; APART from me you can DO NOTHING. 6 If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8 This is to my Father's glory, that you BEAR MUCH FRUIT, SHOWING yourselves to be my disciples.

Kristen adalah nama yang diberikan kepada  pengikut Kristus karena "buah" yang mereka hasilkan di Antiokhia.  Setiap kali masyarakat melihat perbuatan2  mereka saat itu, orang-orang teringat pada Yesus.  Karena perbuatan2 mereka, maka mereka kemudian disebut Kristen.

Memang  ketika berbuah, ada “beban” yang harus dipikul. Buah adlh HASIL dari seseorang tinggal di dalam Tuhan.

Untuk berbuah, pohon tidak bisa jalan2, tapi harus tinggal di satu tempat, supaya ia bisa berakar ke dalam, bertumbuh, dan kemudian barulah berbuah.

Mzm 92: 13-15
13 PLANTED in the house of the LORD,
they will flourish in the courts of our God. 14 They will still bear FRUIT in old age,
they will stay fresh and green,15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright;
he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."

Benih memang harus ditaruh di tanah, yang pastinya kotor. Karpet dan tegel mungkin bersih dan steril, tapi tidak bisa bagi benih untuk bertumbuh. Dalam ke"kotor"an nya itulah, banyak vitamin yang diperlukan bagi "benih" untuk bertumbuh.

Yang sempurna, TIDAK BISA menyebabkan seseorang bertumbuh. Dan yg sempurna, memang TIDAK AKAN pernah ada.

"APA yang bisa saya hasilkan untuk orang-orang sekitar? BAGAIMANA saya bisa membantu orang-orang  sekitar?
