Kis 11: 22-26
22 News of this reached the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.
25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people. The disciples were called Christians FIRST at ANTIOCH.
Istilah "kristen" muncul pertama kali di Antiokhia. Nama ini diberikan masyarakat kepada sekelompok "orang BAIK, yang diPENUHI Roh Kudus dan berIMAN"...ciri-ciri yang seharusnya menjadi gaya hidup seseorang yang mengaku dirinya Kristen.
Perlu dipahami bahwa FAITH is spiritual power, NOT mind power. Iman adalah kekuatan yang beroperasi pada dimensi roh, bukan pada dimensi fisik ataupun jiwa seorang manusia.
Iman sendiri adalah kombinasi dari:
1) Mendengar
Roma 10:172) Melangkah/perbuatan
Consequently, faith comes from HEARING the message, and the message is heard THROUGH the word about Christ.- NIV
Yakobus 2:17
In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by ACTION, is DEAD. - NIV
Mendengar TANPA melangkah itu iman yg MATI. Melangkah TANPA mendengar itu NEKAT.
Mendengar yang dimaksud di sini adalah rhema, bukan sekedar logos. Manusia perlu membaca logos dulu SEBELUM ia bisa menjadi rhema.

Iman menjadi AKTIF bekerja ketika Firman berPINDAH dari INGATAN (logos) ke PIKIRAN (rhema)
Yang menghalangi seseorang yang sudah mendengar rhema UNTUK mulai melangkah:
1) circumstance/situasi sekitarnya (Mat 14: 25-31)
Dalam kisah ini, diceritakan bahwa Petrus sudah diberi jaminan BISA berjalan di atas air oleh Yesus sendiri. Walau Tuhan sudah berkata: "Datanglah", tetapi Petrus masih tidak sepenuhnya mengandalkan rhema ini dalam hatinya. Ketika ia mulai berfokus pada logika, akal budi, dan sekitarnya, maka mulailah ia tenggelam. Terlihat bahwa ketika "angin" mulai bertiup seringkali manusia tidak lagi berFOKUS pada Tuhan, bahkan Petrus sekalipun.
2) Perkataan manusia
1 Kor 2:4-54 My message and my preaching WERE NOT with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, BUT on God's power.-NIVSeringkali Tuhan bilang JANGAN, tetapi orang-orang sekitar kita malah berkata JANGAN-JANGAN. Butuh pemahaman atas firman untuk bisa membedakan mana yang sebenarnya kehendak Tuhan, dan mana yang cuma keinginan daging.
3) Pikiran yang datang dari Iblis
2 Kor 10:3-5
3 For though we live in the world, we DO NOT wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with ARE NOT the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish STRONGHOLDS. 5 We demolish ARGUMENTS and every PRETENSION that sets itself up AGAINST the knowledge of God, and we take captive every THOUGHT to make it obedient to Christ.- NIV
Ada "pertempuran" di alam kasat mata (alam roh) yang menginginkan manusia berakhir dalam maut. Our mind is the battlefield, karena semua kejahatan SELALU dimulai dari pikiran SEBELUM akhirnya menjadi habit.
Kejadian 13:14-15
Tuhan memang berjanji pada Abra(ha)m...tetapi hanya melalui perbuatan tangan manusialah, janji itu AKAN dipenuhi.
Mendengar dan melangkah seperti halnya dua sisi uang logam, TIDAK terpisahkan dan selalu HARUS berjalan beriringan.
