INTRODUCTION

I will be turning 31, soon. Based on the average age of Indonesian statistic, it could be said that I have spent half of my journey in life, and therefore I would the remaining half to perform in this life.

The question is: WHAT WILL I do for the rest of my life? If later in the end of my life God asked me what have I done for Him; how should I answer? Not much indeed.

Every Sunday Service I attended, I noticed and observed that it seems most people are not trained or used to capture the essence of the content/materials they heard, especially, if they had to make a summary in the midst of a service. Due to this, it seems that a lot of congregations are having trouble grasping the most important points delivered by the preacher, though they had tried to take notes for every word that was delivered.

Meanwhile, it is very easy for me to capture the essence of a conversation to then make a summary of it naturally. I, myself, also do not understand HOW EXACTLY I could do it. To me it feels like how I wonder that someone distinguish tones and whatever keys that are used in a song just by hearing it, or someone who is able to paint on a canvas based on their imagination alone.

On one fine afternoon, I realized this talent of mine and I made a decision to serve as a “note taker” of Him. Hopefully, I could be CONSISTENTLY serving Him on a weekly basis until the end of my time in this world. Later that night, I decided to make this blog, devoted to publish every summary of every sermon I attended.

As I am currently planted in Jakarta Praise Community Church (JPCC), most likely that all summaries will be dominated by sermons delivered at JPCC. With my minimum knowledge of technology and social media, knowing that I don’t have a Facebook account, nor Twitter, neither Instagram, I could say that I am very determined to create e to create this blog.

Despise all of that, I humbly dedicate this blog to all of you.

The only reason of creating this blog is only for the glory of Him. This blog is dedicated for His Glory. If there seemed to be good things about me, it is only because of His kindness that covers my weaknesses in your eyes. If you could only see my weaknesses, that’s all I got. For if there is no God, my life would not be completed.

For those of you who are blessed by this blog, let the praise be only for God who is exalted high. Let God be increase in you, and you decrease. For without God, I am only an unworthy servant, who only does my duty.

Please feel free to use and disseminate any content of this blog in an effort to share and deliver the kindness of God. There is no intellectual property that should be protected and evaluated in this blog as I am simply His note taker. It is not my words, but His words that bless you all.

All the verses in this blog will be based on the New International Version (NIV). Not by any means to be seen as being cool, but most importantly to touch as close as to the real meaning and its context. For those of you who have a limited knowledge of English, we may want to push ourselves to read the Bible in Bahasa Indonesia version to better understand its meaning. Although this is not a very convenient way, without realizing it, my level of English as well as interpreting has been increasing day after day.

I try to provide an English version of each writing to bless people in many nations. My hope is that when the English version is available, I believe it will be easier to be adapted to many languages and able to be read by all nations in the future.

With my limited ability of English, my plan for the moment is to wait until I found a figure that is willing to assist with translating all my writings in this blog in to English. If this vision is aligned with God’s desire, I believe He Himself will send me a person that will help with the translation.

If you are blessed by this blog, I encourage you to  share this with your peers. If you are interested in contributing or giving input, please send your thought to: my.rhema.2013@gmail.com

For God is so GOOD, He (doesn’t) event try to be good. God is good, ALL the time.

Hallelujah.
